ATLANTA, Ga., November 11, 2015—Peachtree Hotel Group, one of the nation’s fastest growing hotel investment and management platforms, today announced the appointment of Brian Waldman as senior vice president of investments. In his new role, Waldman will lead the company’s hotel real estate investment and asset management programs. Affluent in the real estate and hospitality market, Waldman brings a strategic advantage that will grow Peachtree Hotel Group's acquisitions.
Waldman brings with him 15 years of U.S. and international hospitality industry experience encompassing a broad range of asset and portfolio types ranging from luxury hotels and resorts to limited, select-service and extended-stay properties. Prior to joining Peachtree, he was managing director and head of Capital Markets for Beacon Hospitality Partners where he oversaw hospitality transactions with an aggregate asset value exceeding $8 billion. During his career, Waldman also held executive positions for prestigious groups such as DTZ Hospitality Group, The Mumford Company, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Arthur Andersen Hospitality Group. He received a dual Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Real Estate from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
"Brian brings additional strengths that add further depth to Peachtree’s bench," said Greg Friedman, Peachtree CEO. “His background in hotel investments and asset management add new dimensions to our group, allowing us to provide more comprehensive services than ever before in our history. We have no doubt Brian will help take Peachtree to the next level.”
"Sustaining growth is imperative as we expand our portfolio. Brian’s background brings additional brand relationships, extensive industry ties and development expertise, giving us momentum to develop a broader footprint. His previous, high-achieving portfolio complements his appointment with our aggressive growth strategy," said Jatin Desai, chief investment officer.
"Peachtree Hotel Group has a sterling reputation as a key hospitality player in terms of hotel ownership, development, management and financing, and I look forward to adding my skill sets to the mix as the company continues its aggressive growth plans," said Waldman.
